Year after year, we consistently have more High School seniors signed to play college than any other soccer club in Eastern Washington.
One of the aspects of our players we are most proud of is player development and exposure. We focus on developing the entire age group, placing players each year at tryouts where we think they’d benefit from playing time and development, and move players up and down year to year based on their performance throughout that season. For example, in the Class of 2025, over half the 28(!) players who went on to play college soccer were currently playing for, or had spent time earlier in their youth soccer career on B/C/D teams and worked their way up. Generally, players who are willing to work hard at the developmental levels in larger clubs like ours are the players who are more attractive to collegiate programs, rather than players who want to say they are on an “A” team at a smaller club that plays in lesser leagues. College coaches are looking for players who aren’t afraid of the competition of being in a larger club whose top teams play against the top competition in the Northwest.
We average over 20 boys and girls per graduating class every year who move on to play college soccer, and since the 1990s almost 800 3RSC alumni have played at the next level, with a handful of players also moving on to play professionally.
Our coaching staff for our older age group is comprised of current and former college coaches and former college players, who help our players prepare for the on-and-off the field expectations of college soccer. College coaches know that our players are ready and able for the challenge and also that they have been prepared technically and tactically for the demands of the next level. Our relationship with college programs stretches back almost 30 years, and college coaches come to us year after year to recruit our 3RSC athletes for their teams.
