Ray Evans

Biography

Ray Evans serves as the Regional Club League Director, having been with the club since 2010.

Born in North London, Ray signed with Tottenham when he was 15 years old, and made his debut for the first team against Arsenal at age 19, while also serving as captain of the England National Youth teams at various levels through U21.

Evans went on to have a stellar career with Tottenham, starting at right-back for 6 years over 130 League games for the club, and appeared in 181 matches in all competitions. While at Tottenham, Evans also played in the UEFA Cup Final (currently called Champions League) in 1974.

He later moved on to Millwall (74 appearances), Fulham (86 appearances), and Stoke City (94 appearances, also served as captain). In England’s off-season, he would play in the NASL in America, first with St. Louis Stars and California Surf, before moving full-time to America to play with the Seattle Sounders in 1982.  For the Sounders, he appeared in 60 games and scored 15 goals in his two seasons.   He wrapped up his career with the Tacoma Stars of the MISL, playing 85 games and scoring 24 goals.

Evans was the Head Coach for the Columbia Basin College Men’s program for 2 years (2000-2001) after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons, including the last CBC Men’s NWAC Championship in 1999.

While at 3RSC, Ray has coached teams of various ages, including the BU18 State Cup Champion squad in 2010/2011. He also coaches for Eastern Washington Elite Player Development (EWA EPD).

Ray and his wife Sandra have two grown children, Lee and Shelly, and reside in Kennewick. They also have 3 grandchildren, Tiffany, Dylan, and Jordan.
