Jason Quintero

Youth Director and District Coordinator

Biography

Jason Quintero is our Director of Operations and has been on club staff since 2015.

Quintero was a 4 year starter for Kennewick High School, where he led the team in scoring 3 of the 4 years, and also was selected to the All-Conference team 3 years in a row. He served as captain of the program for 2 seasons.  He played also played for 3 Rivers Soccer Club upon it’s inception in 1998.

He moved on to Columbia Basin College where he led the team in scoring, was named team MVP, and was selected as an NWAC All-Star both of his seasons.

After a brief playing stint in the PDL, he returned to coaching in 2004, which he started with in 1998 as the Youth Programs Director for Soccer House in Pasco, helping start and establish the Lil Kickers program, which he led through 2002.

He served as an Assistant Coach for the Eastern Washington University Women’s team for 3 seasons, including the program’s first Regular Season Big Sky championship in 2004.  During this time he also coached for River City SC in Spokane, WA, before being hired as the club’s first ever full-time Director of Coaching in 2007.

While in Spokane, he was hired as the Head Coach for the first Semi-Pro Women’s team from Eastern Washington, the Spokane Black Widows (2010) which were renamed Spokane Shine (2011-2012).  The team competed in the WPSL, the second tier of women’s soccer in America.  While competing with former international standouts Brandi Chastain and 1999 Golden Boot winner Sissi (Brazil), the Shine won the Northwest Division in 2012, and four Shine players moved on to secure professional contract domestically and overseas.  In three seasons with the franchise, Quintero’s record was 20-12-2.

From 2013-2015, Quintero was Director of Coaching for Moscow United Soccer Club, also helping establish the Quad Cities Fusion in collaboration with Pullman, Lewiston, and Clarkston, and helping form teams to compete at higher levels of play and giving players an opportunity to move on to the collegiate level.  Under Quintero’s guidance, he helped Moscow to have players for the first time qualify for and compete in the Far West Regional League after solid showings at IYSA State Cup Championships.  While at MUSC, Quintero also coached for the Idaho ODP program.

Jason holds the Premier Diploma and Directors of Coaches Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and also is a Head Coach for Eastern Washington Elite Player Development (EPD).  As a head coach, his teams have won three WYS State Championship Cups, five WYS President’s Cups, and have been semi-finalists at the USYS National Championships.

In addition to coaching, he also is a TV sports broadcaster for soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and softball on SWX, and is an occasional studio guest host on the weekly ‘Prep Countdown’ show.

Jason and his wife Kendra have a daughter Avalon, and live in Pasco.
